all about tape-in extensions

TAPE-IN EXTENSIONS are great for those guests wanting to be in and out of the salon within a couple hours max! The quick application process and transformation is what keeps guests coming back again and again.

These extensions are best for guests with very fine/thinning hair to average density and textured hair. I believe almost anyone can wear them (unless you have really short hair or a ton of layers)! Tapes are an easy and quick way to add simple volume and/or length on natural or thinning hair. There are many color and size options to choose from, therefore I suggest scheduling a complimentary consultation in order to find out what is best for your hair and lifestyle.

Tape-in extensions contain a MEDICAL GRADE, HYPOALLERGENIC adhesive band that will be sandwiched over 1 inch horizontal sections of your natural hair. Great thing about them is that they are REUSABLE! You can expect to have the tapes last anywhere from 5-7 months, sometimes longer if taken care of properly. You’ll also need to come in every 4-6 weeks for your maintenance/move-up!

In order to get the best experience with your new hair, you’ll need to make sure that you are properly washing and drying them, as well as brushing them multiple times a day. This will alleviate and tangles and/or matting which can result in a shorter lifespan for your extensions.

THE MAINTENANCE PROCESS is quick and easy! An alcohol based solvent spray is used to soften the tape. Once softened, your natural hair will be separated from the two tapes (don’t worry, it doesn’t hurt!) and they slide right out. A new strip of medical grade tape is then applied and it is now time for you to relax and have an amazing scalp massage, shampoo and blow dry- without extensions in!! The tapes will then be placed back into your hair and styled as you wish!

AT HOME CARE for your tape-in extensions is pretty easy! They are 100% remy human hair, therefore they can be treated just like your natural hair. Because these extensions are a large investment, I suggest using salon products during shampooing/styling. I recommend only shampooing your hair once or twice a week! In between washes, dry shampoo will be your best friend!
